  1. The dinner was the beginning of the final push to the caucuses and a chance for candidates to reenergize their bases, convincing undecided voters to support them.
  2. About 29% of voters are still undecided. About 20% know what they are going to vote for.
  3. Biden is losing support, while Buttigieg is gaining support. Warren and Sanders are also gaining support.
  4. Buttigieg likes to emphasize a positive outlook. He clearly states how he disagrees with how some politicians paint everything as a fight. He says he will fight if he needs but likes to focus on centrism.
  5. Warren thinks with big ideas. She has been focusing on her universal healthcare plan to promote her idea of addressing the needs of all people, despite how unlikely this may sound.
  6. Instead of buying seats for his supporters, Sanders hosted a watch party for them and donated $20,000 in ticket fees to the Iowa Democratic Party.

Warren-25, Sanders-18, Biden-13, Steyer-11 The state switched from primaries to caucuses. It's harder to talk to people because the state has a disproportionate amount of people who work odd hours, such as in casinos. Nevada has a newer caucus and is less established than Iowa, so the pollsters have not had time to build the sort of infrastructure and state expertise that has developed in Iowa. They have a 4-day early voting period where they do ranked-choice voting. There is a heavy reliance on tourism and the casino industry, and it waxes and wanes seasonally. Because pollsters have to staff people to conduct fieldwork over a 24-hour period rather than just the evenings and keep updating phone records and developing new models.
